Celebrating another term of industry recognition, Soliton IT, a UK-leading Radiology Information System (RIS) developer, is delighted to announce their recognition and achievements at the Nuance Health Partner User Conference in Barcelona on 13-15th March 2017.

Nuance Health, a globally renowned supplier of voice recognition applications, held their annual Partner User Conference in Barcelona last week to mark the enormous transition to a fully digital future within healthcare. The Partner Conference comprised of delivery and interactive sessions, concentrating on latest voice recognition (VR) developments, real-world benefits of applied voice-to-text and the future of voice-driven clinical documentation.

Representing Radiology IT at the conference, Soliton IT was invited to deliver a successful project report on the deployment of Nuance’s SpeechMagic into Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Trust. This project defined Soliton IT’s management of the users, Partners, Trust and technology challenges and concluded with the successful roll-out of an improved SpeechMagic VR to replace the badly-performing legacy VR and support Soliton IT’s RIS, Radiology+.

Soliton IT’s achievements were further recognised when Nuance awarded them the Best Customer Project Award at the Conference’s Gala Dinner on 14th March. The trophy was awarded for the Norfolk & Norwich project, specifically highlighting the company’s trouble-shooting proficiencies, systems integration skills, project commitment and class-leading customer service. Soliton IT was able to demonstrate both the site’s satisfaction with the enhanced voice-to-text capability and “in-practice” clinical measurables, such as Radiologists confirming a 50%-reduced turnaround time of plain film (x-ray) reports.

On behalf of Nuance, UK Sales Director Roberto Anello comments,

“Nuance was delighted to award Soliton IT with the Best Customer Project Award at the Nuance Partner Event this year. Customer wins like Norfolk & Norwich University NHS Trust, who was experiencing poor performance issues with an alternate VR solution, is now experiencing better clinical outcomes and significantly improved speech recognition rates. We take huge pride in our relationship with Soliton IT who have demonstrated strong innovation and a passion for customer experience – leveraging Nuance’s market leading Speech development toolkit.”

Commenting from Soliton IT’s UK Head Office, Director and Co-Founder Bob Watson:

“Soliton IT has once again shown both our commitment to customer challenges and our technical proficiency within Radiology IT and VR integration. We are delighted to receive this formal recognition from an esteemed Partner and are proud with our achievements at both the User Conference and at the Trust. Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust is indeed a much-valued customer of ours – we are glad that we were able to provide advanced and successful VR engagement to their RIS.”
