Steven’s former role was as PACS Administrator, Radiology BA and Radiology Systems Specialist at Princess Alexandra Hospital, part of the the Queensland Health board in Australia. Growing up, Steven had a ‘break it and fix it’ skill with computers – from hardware building 286s as a youngster to finishing an electrical engineering certificate as a Tech in a local PC store.
His journey in clinical IT started in 2009; he has worked in radiology for 11 years, including on Agfa and Cerner Millennium systems – admirably the largest RadNet site in the southern hemisphere! In 2012, the hospital appointed Soliton IT’s Reporting+ system and Steven has been working closely with the Soliton IT team since.
Having joined the Brisbane office as Applications Specialist in March 2020, Steven is looking forward to the role bringing new challenges and adopting different perspective as a supplier. The flexibility which Soliton IT offers, along with already knowing the Aussie team well, was a big draw for Steven, and jumping straight into live projects was also a bonus.
Michelle joined Soliton IT in February 2020, and was formally a Senior Manager for the Oz Radiology Group in Brisbane. After 20 years in this role, she completed her Bachelor of Business degree whilst working in three different practices. Her role was extremely varied – managing 15 staff members, 150 daily patients and weekly schedules to ensure that the practice was operating at maximum efficiency.
Before joining Soliton IT, Michelle worked closely with the team to develop Radiology+ for the private sector; Oz Radiology was the first site to deploy Radiology+ RIS in Australia and it was a huge success. Soliton IT’s customer-driven focus, service and overall drive was key to her decision to join the company as Project Manager, and she looks forward to this exciting opportunity.
