| HC 2007: Soliton IT announce Command Navigation for legacy systems | | 19th March 2007 -- At Healthcare Computing 2007: Soliton IT announce the Company's new software package for navigation of legacy systems and windows applications using speech. he latest release of Speech Console (the Company's product for speech enabling legacy applications) now offers highly configurable command navigation for legacy systems in addition to real-time speech to text. An example of use : A Clinician who is already using speech to dictate a report may wish to complete the process by saying 'authorise report' or 'next report' rather than interrupting his or her workflow by using the keyboard or mouse - thereby improving the workflow. The package is highly configurable and will work with most systems which run under windows (e.g. RIS, PACS, Pathology, EPR, PAS and other Clinical Systems) and of course it can also be used to control Microsoft applications, such as Word and Outlook. Users can associate menu items, keystrokes and mouse clicks with spoken commands of their choice in an easy to use configuration process. NO SPECIAL interfaces are required. | At the product launch, Director Ed Wright said: "Speech Console is already a very powerful tool for speech enabling legacy applications. ..By adding configurable Command Navigation we have dramatically increased the power and scope of the package" Speech Console | | Soliton IT on the Philips Booth at HC2007 | |
